Sandholt: Reykjavik’s Culinary Treasure (That You’ll Want to Keep Secret!)

Stumbling upon Sandholt during our Reykjavik adventure was like finding a hidden treasure! This place had me at hello, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Every time we left, I was already planning our next visit.

Picture this: the elegant vibe of a fancy restaurant, but with the coziness of your favorite coffee shop. And oh, the coffee! It’s that good third-wave stuff that makes you wonder how you ever settled for less.

Now, let’s talk desserts. Imagine being a kid in a candy store, but everything is gourmet. Each treat was better than the last, and choosing was the sweetest torture.

I’m not exaggerating when I say Sandholt is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. It’s so good, I’m half tempted to plan a trip just to eat there again!

But shh… let’s keep this our little secret. If word gets out, we might have to fight for a table!

Some must-tries? The donut – it’s not just any donut, it’s THE Icelandic donut. And coming from a mom who’s not big on lamb, their lamb sandwich was a game-changer. The lox sandwich? Perfection on a plate – both hubby and I were in heaven. We finished with a slice of cake that left us speechless (a rare feat with kids around, am I right?).
