Here’s something fascinating: if you’re looking for a swim, most towns in Iceland have a pool. There’s a strong pool and swimming culture here. With all the geothermal energy, it’s easy for them to heat pools year-round. I imagine that in the long winters, it’s a wonderful family activity.

Most families also sleep with their windows open year-round because radiant heat is so affordable due to the geothermal energy. It’s amazing how geothermal abundance shapes daily life here!
